Wallis Annenberg GenSpace Opens to the Public

The doors of Wallis Annenberg GenSpace are now open to the public and offering new pilot programs! GenSpace is an innovative community center designed for older adults that offers a wide range of classes and programs to support health, creativity, connection, and fun.

Come visit today! GenSpace is located inside the beautiful Audrey Irmas Pavilion next to the Wilshire Boulevard Temple in LA’s Koreatown.

GenSpace offers a fitness studio with instructor-led classes; a horticultural therapy space where members can learn gardening basics and get their hands dirty; an art studio with a full range of classes from painting to drawing and sculpting; and a tech bar with tablets and computers available for use, along with financial literacy classes. Virtual classes are also available online. Check out the schedule for all of GenSpace’s classes here

As GenSpace opened its doors for its first week of in-person classes, some guests enjoyed a gentle yoga class where they were led through stretches by an instructor. Others participated in an intergenerational art class in which older adults and local sixth grade students came together to connect and create. Intergenerational connection is a top priority for GenSpace and is incorporated into many of its programs and projects.

If you or someone you know might be interested in becoming a member, visit GenSpace.LA for more information or stop by to check it out for yourself. GenSpace staff is eager to welcome you!
