Spotlight: Time for Change Foundation

Since 2002, Time For Change Foundation (TFCF) has been dedicated to helping homeless women and children achieve self-sufficiency by using an array of evidenced-based practices coupled with a strength-based approach to address their needs. TFCF programs and supportive services help to assist families and individuals with the skills necessary to recover from the effects of homelessness, addiction, incarceration, and mental and physical abuse. Today, TFCF offers three types of housing: emergency shelter, permanent supportive, and affordable. Because of the lack of decent, affordable housing in San Bernardino, TFCF has developed its own 7-unit affordable housing apartment complex and has 13 scattered site apartments bringing the total housing capacity to 115 annually. To date, TFCF has helped over 1,020 homeless women and children in San Bernardino County achieve self-sufficiency. In addition, TFCF’s Founder and former Executive Director Kim Carter was named a Top Ten CNN Hero in 2015. To learn more about the Time for Change Foundation, please click here.
